Fotograficamente parlando forse l'unico neo ( giusto per essere puntigliosi ) è la poca luce all'interno ma l'atmosfera è unica. Wonderful church in one of the most enchanting places of the eternal city but far from the chaos of the city. Photographically speaking, perhaps the only drawback (just to be meticulous) is the little light inside but the atmosphere is unique.

Cecchini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sicuramente ora che è sotto parco dell'Appia antica verrà valorizzata a dovere e sarà possibile visitare anche i sotterranei che nascondono capolavori di epoca romana tra i quali resti di terme e di mosaici con figure marine. Chiesa cara a Santo woitila, che qui venne ordinato e che qui soleva radunare i suoi colleghi connazionali, è di grande pregio artistico e conserva ancora molti tesori del 700. Bellissima l'abside ma belle anche le pareti laterali, la controfacciata, la cripta con il mosaico e il soffitto a cassettoni. Quasi impossibile visitarla (la domenica mattina se non c'è la messa e uno degli immancabili matrimoni che monopolizzano tutte le chiese da marzo a ottobre) se vedete il portone aperto approfittate perché merita. Per ora la visita l'ho fatta io per voi: guardate le foto e i video che ho postato e le altre recensioni su Roma e le sue meraviglie che ho fatto e se sono stato utile cliccate su utile. Surely now that it is under the Appia Antica park it will be properly enhanced and it will also be possible to visit the undergrounds that hide Roman era masterpieces including the remains of thermal baths and mosaics with marine figures. Church dear to Santo woitila, which was ordained here and who used to gather his fellow countrymen here, is of great artistic value and still retains many treasures from the 18th century. The apse is beautiful but also the side walls, the counter-façade, the crypt with the mosaic and the coffered ceiling. Almost impossible to visit (on Sunday morning if there is no mass and one of the inevitable weddings that monopolize all the churches from March to October) if you see the door open take advantage because it deserves. V	Vasili Timonen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The church is only regularly open on Saturdays, 10:00 to 16:00 and on Sunday mornings, 9:30 to 12:00 except in August. Mass is celebrated at 11:30 on Sundays and solemnities. The church is popular for weddings. This is a very attractive but rather hidden-away late 16th century church, which is struggling to justify its existence and so is not regularly open. It has an amazing collection of mediaeval Cosmatesque liturgical items, scavenged from other churches when they were remodelled.
