★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cassano allo Jonio è bellissima "una conca d'oro" si dice, come la sibaritide intera! Questa fontana purtroppo non è un originale perché j leoni sono stati rubati e poi sostituitj da delle copie. Penso che sia il simbolo vero della città e la rappresenta in parte... Una città piena di tesori, abitati da gente che li ruba pensando di arricchirsi, non capendo che la vera ricchezza sta nel congiungere le forze per far crescere insieme la comunità.
La fontana ai trova nella piazza antistante la chiesa cattedrale(ora Basilica) bellissima, cui è attaccato il palazzo vescovile e di fronte è situato il campanile(si dice che i briganti lo abbiano costruito in una notte e si dice che la notte di Natale allo scoccare di mezzanotte delle sue campane gli animali parlino a Cassano)... andando più avanti, alzate lo sguardo al cielo verso sinistra e chiedete informazioni su come raggiungere quel bellissimo orologio che vedete inerpicato sulla roccia.
Cassano allo Jonio is beautiful "a golden basin" they say, like the whole sybaritide! Unfortunately, this fountain is not an original because the lions were stolen and then replaced by copies. I think it is the true symbol of the city and represents it in part ... A city full of treasures, inhabited by people who steal them thinking of getting rich, not understanding that real wealth lies in joining forces to make the community grow together.
The fountain is located in the square in front of the beautiful cathedral church (now Basilica), to which the bishop's palace is attached and the bell tower is located in front (it is said that the brigands built it in one night and it is said that on Christmas Eve at the animals speak in Cassano at midnight) ... going further, look up to the sky to the left and ask for information on how to reach that beautiful clock that you see perched on the rock.
