★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La camminata, se fatta partendo da Brunate, è praticamente pianeggiante. Si può tornare a Como scendendo per la mulattiera fino a Torno e prendendo il battello.
 The walk, if done starting from Brunate, is practically flat. You can return to Como by going down the mule track to Torno and taking the boat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Di massi erratici ve ne sono molti sparsi attorno al Lario ma questo è veramente particolare.
Molto interessante questa testimonianza geologica che ci aiuta a conoscere l'evoluzione che il nostro pianeta ha avuto sin dai primordi della sua formazione.
Il sentiero che parte da Torno ci conduce sino al masso in poco più di un'ora, ascesa totale mt. 463, quasi tutto in un bosco di castagni e faggi.
Si supera la Chiesa della Visitazione della B.V. Maria (Santa Elisabetta), la splendida balconata sul lago e dopo qualche centinaio di metri si trova solitaria la Pietra Pendula.
E' un luogo che mi rende molto orgogliosa di vivere in Italia.
There are many erratic boulders scattered around the Lario but this is really special.
Very interesting this geological testimony that helps us to know the evolution that our planet has had since the beginning of its formation.
The path that starts from Torno leads us up to the boulder in just over an hour, total ascent mt. 463, almost all in a forest of chestnut and beech trees.
You pass the Church of the Visitation of the B.V. Maria (Santa Elisabetta), the splendid balcony overlooking the lake and after a few hundred meters you will find the lonely Pietra Pendula.
It is a place that makes me very proud to live in Italy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To get here you can hike on "Strada regia" from Brunate. It's a very easy walk, with the view of Como lake on your left.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This trail is not for the faint of heart. It is very steep with sharp drop offs at time. The trail is made from stones that are formed into stairs which is very helpful to walk up. There are some cool shacks on the way up. Absolutely incredible views of the lake. Really cool even if you only go part way up.
We didn’t go the entire way because we were already a bit sore & wanted to save our legs for the way down & were glad we did.
Google maps tried to direct us to drive up the entire trail. It took us right to the trail head which is just a stone walkway at the end of a road, when you walk up a bit there is a left turn & a sign for the town & it says 30 minutes (we were slow so it took us longer than that).
When we realized that google maps wanted us to drive where we couldn’t we turned around and found a public parking lot not far from the trail head & then walked up.
