★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In questa zona venivano coltivate le castagne che venivano poi portate in paese e poste al primo piano dei "ca da foc". Sotto veniva acceso un fuoco per giorni e giorni. Una volta secche le castagne venivano in parte conservate intere per l'inverno e in parte portate al mulino di Torno per macinarle. La buccia veniva usata per tingere le reti per la pesca.
Purtroppo dopo la guerra i castagni secolari non si sono più potati e nemmeno concimati. Le piante si sono inselvatichite e i prati intorno si sono trasformati in boschi.
Rimane la cascina a testimoniare un'attività che non esiste più
 Chestnuts were grown in this area and then brought to the village and placed on the first floor of the "ca da foc". A fire was lit underneath for days and days. Once dry, the chestnuts were partly preserved whole for the winter and partly taken to the Torno mill to grind them. The peel was used to dye nets for fishing.
Unfortunately, after the war, the centuries-old chestnut trees were no longer pruned or even fertilized. The plants went wild and the surrounding meadows turned into woods.
The farmhouse remains to witness an activity that no longer exists
