Very good luggage, new brand, clerk often has problems with tax refunds. Especially Taiwanese, often wrongly nationalized, can not be refunded

โ โ โ โ โ Extremely disappointed with the quality of the luggage from this manufacturer. I bought two large suitcases from this brand 3 years ago. Every time I travel with them and the bags are checked, the luggage is damaged in some significant way.
Sometimes the edges are dented so that the bag cannot be closed properly without it being corrected with a hammer.
Sometimes the bag closure does not work well due to denting, and again I need to ask the hotel for a hammer so that I can correct it myself.
So many of the connecting bolts have fallen off that I have become an expert in repairing them myself based on materials I purchase at a hardware store.
Note that the repair and customer service team are useless at responding to requests in a timely manner, and moreover they charge quite a bit for materials. They are slow to respond and they will not take action generally until I send multiple reminders to them.
There is no reason whatsoever to buy a piece of luggage from this brand. The quality is low (and there are several huge design flaws that would easily be corrected if they had any sense), do not have any reliable repair centers abroad, and the customer service team is not reliable. You will need to become a casual expert at DIY luggage repairs, and will be frequently surprised to pick up your luggage from the baggage claim with pieces broken off from the bag and it being a minor miracle it even held together.
Rimowa on the other hand is a totally different story. Extremely good manufacturing quality, great customer service, and no significant damage to those bags to date. I know the FPM bags look good, but absolutely stay away and look for alternatives.
