β β β β β My friend and I took the official Hop-on-hop-off City sightseeing ticket of Line A - San Marco-Lido-Murano for a 24-hour validity at Euro20 per ticket.
The day was quite cloudy, but it was still a fantastic experience as we got to see much more of Venezia from the boat ride than any other way. The line A trip covers a lot of area of Venezia. It is one of the most effective and efficient way to get to all the places of attraction and still be free to enjoy the places.
We stopped for quite a while in San Marco and Murano, to have some food and to enjoy the place. The boat ride is very smooth and enjoyable.

β β β β β Bought tickets for the hop on hop off in Venise. The office did not open at 8:30 as advertised. We just bought our tickets at the first stop. We received 20% discount with our trainitalia card and ticket. Overall great experience. The boats were clean and not crowded. We enjoyed visiting the islands without feeling rushed. Great service. No commentary on Venise on the boats. The boat has free Wi-Fi, so perhaps something could be worked to have the teal hope on hop off feel.

β β β β β Good way to see the islands. The boat stops are easy to find and the boats are on time with no traffic. Half the boat is air conditioned and the other half is out in sun with a bit of breeze

β β β β β Boat frequency not that great (at half hour intervals). Boat staff was not very polite. I wish I had gone for the local non-private boat services instead, for better convenience.

β β β β β The boats have no audio guides, and don't go up the grand canal. For the β¬20 price tag, you could instead get a 24 hour pass for the water bus, which covers the same routes, plus the grand canal, and also has a more frequent service. It's not good value for money.

The boat is better than the red bus of Bologna, because it is a boat, and you can also travel to different islands. The view is splendid, and when the weather is good, half the boat has no roof or glass in the windows so you can sit outside.
