If it was possible I would have given it 0 stars. I had my saddle changed, so far ok, plus he asked me for 10 euros to adjust the brakes and lubrication. Very well! Unfortunately, he didn't even touch the brakes. When I pointed this out his answer: "but you have a 20 euro bike, you will have crooked rims" Instead of clumsily trying to mask the truth, think about how you treat your customers. He said my bike was worth 20 euros because it was old and not that it was the cost of the change as he says in the answer. I went to the Olmo bicycle shop in Via Molino Delle Armi where they did to me for free what she didn't do.

I went there a few times in the past, the work was done well, but already at the time the attitude was not positive. During the last visit he had such an arrogant and rude approach, that I found an excuse and went to another workshop. Learn to treat the customer and be kind. He does not even reciprocate the greeting.

My bike's front brake broke. I stopped by them and asked if they could fix it. From a quick glance he realized that it was a quick and easy surgery. In addition to not charging me anything, he also gave me indications on what to do in case the problem should reoccur. I believe that no one in Milan behaves in this way. I will bring my family's bikes and those of my children to him.

I rented a trekking bike from Ciclofficina and had a wonderful experience. The bike was all set up for making a week-long tour through Lombardia, Piemonte & Emilio Romagna. Lightweight but sturdy aluminum frame, front suspension, 21 gears (I did use the granny gear on some hills and after 60 miles one day), integral dynamo with front & rear lights, rack with spring clip and fenders in case of wet roads. The 25mm+/- tires rolled well on asphalt, but handled unpaved tractor roads and bumpy gravel with ease. The back rack's spring clip was good for carrying a water bottle, as there was no brazed on water bottle holder. With one on the back and temps in the 50's (10°-15° C) I was always well hydrated. The rack carried my two Ortlieb panniers easily. The bike came with sturdy folding link lock, tools and spare inner tube. Although I always locked the bike when stopped for lunch, coffee, visiting a church, etc, I never felt unsafe. Ultimately I felt that Italy was safe enough not to use the lock. But who wants to be without street clothes or a toothbrush, not to mention transportation, when 1000s miles from home? Lock was nice to have. Likewise I never used the inner tube or tools to fix a flat. Over 200 miles of all kinds of riding, this was a sign of the quality components on the bicycle. I did see glass shards in the road from time to time, ran up and down some curbs, and rode many miles on gravel and unpaved tractor paths -- the tires and tubes handled it all. They kept their pressure throughout; I never had to pump. Keep in mind the bike was carrying 180 lb (80+ kg) of me, plus ~30 lb (15 kg) of my gear. Thumbs up! Finally, the people. From the initial email contact I could see this is a Local Bike Shop of the type everyone idolizes. Quick to respond, kind and informative, knowledgeable and competent, ready to help. We set up my tour within a couple days, then I disappeared. They were not sure I was committed, but did they give away my bike? No! Two days later I showed up in person (from USA) and we completed the arrangements. Alessandro, Mattias, and helper were all easy to deal with, friendly and competent. My weeklong, 200+ mile, self-supported bike tour of northern Italy was a success thanks to Ciclofficina. Grazie mille!
