★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Maria Santissima Annunziata in Castelvetrano è detta anche Badia per via della presenza di un monastero di monache domenicane spazzato via dal terremoto del 1968, come anche la chiesa dell'epoca, ricostruita soltanto nel 1991, poggiandosi su una parte di muro restata in piedi.
Testimonianze storiche parlano della presenza di una chiesa già nel secolo XIII.
In questa chiesa è custodito un trittico di un ignoto pittore siciliano raffigurante l'incoronazione di Maria Vergine tra i santi Gandolfo e Giorgio, del 1448, è una tela raffigurante San Francesco di Paola, risalente al 1560.
Il tabernacolo, invece, proviene dal monastero camaldolese di Fonte Avellana.
