D'un tratto un'inspiegabile cambiamento spirituale (presumibilmente provocato dal nostro signore) mi ha spinto a compiere il mio ingresso all'interno del suddetto edificio. Ho vissuto come di consueto un momento di preghiera e raccoglimento seduto sulle panche rigorosamente a distanza di sicurezza dagli altri utenti, e devo ammettere che è stata un'esperienza impareggiabile di contatto con la superiorità divina. Unica pecca, motivo del voto, è il fatto che dopo circa trenta minuti mi sì è avvicinato Don Paolo, un caro parroco davvero molto gentile, che però improvvisamente mi ha proposto della merce che a detta sua aveva a disposizione da vendermi, non ha citato tutto ciò di cui era in possesso ma mi è bastato sentire nomi quali cocaina, eroina, metanfetamine e cannabis per alzarmi e darmi alla fuga senza aspettare un secondo di più. Non fosse stato per questo spiacevole incidente sarebbe stata una delle mie migliori esperienze di preghiera e crescita interiore. Sarà per un'altra volta, è un vero peccato.... When I finally arrived after long pilgrimages to the wonderful city of Florence I found myself in front of this tiny but at the same time refined church. Suddenly an inexplicable spiritual change (presumably caused by our lord) prompted me to make my entrance into the aforementioned building. I lived as usual a moment of prayer and recollection sitting on the benches strictly at a safe distance from other users, and I must admit that it was an unparalleled experience of contact with divine superiority. The only flaw, the reason for the vote, is the fact that after about thirty minutes Don Paolo approached me, a dear parish priest who was really very kind, but suddenly he offered me some goods that he said he had available for sale, he did not mention everything he had but it was enough to hear names such as cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and cannabis to get up and run away without waiting a second longer. Had it not been for this unfortunate accident it would have been one of my best experiences of prayer and inner growth. It will be for another time, it is a pity ....

Su construcción se remonta al siglo XIII, siendo uno de los edificios concedidos a la orden de los Umiliati, dedicada al comercio de la lana con fines benéficos, y que tenía su sede muy cerca, en la iglesia de Ognissanti. Tras las reformas de mediados del siglo XIX, tomó su aspecto neoclásico actual. En el interior, su mayor interés son algunos frescos que se han conservado, destacando uno del siglo XIII que representa La Anunciación, así como otro en el que podemos ver el bautismo de Jesús, y el gran fresco del techo de la nave, que representa a Dios padre. La visita es gratuita. We found this small church on the way to the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. Its construction dates back to the thirteenth century, being one of the buildings granted to the order of the Umiliati, dedicated to the wool trade for charity, and that had its headquarters very close, in the church of Ognissanti. After the reforms of the mid-nineteenth century, took its current neoclassical appearance. Inside, his main interest are some frescoes that have been preserved, highlighting one of the thirteenth century that represents The Annunciation, as well as another in which we can see the baptism of Jesus, and the great fresco of the roof of the nave, which represents Goodbye father. The visit is free.
