Una "chicca" appena fuori Salsomaggiore, ben tenuta e conservata dall' attuale parroco che è li da 50 anni e che ha fisicamente participato al restauro conservativo. Il panorama è spettacolare! Vale davvero la visita! Gorgeous! A "gem" just outside Salsomaggiore, well maintained and preserved by the current pastor who has been there for 50 years and who has physically participated in the restoration. The view is spectacular! Really worth the visit!

A	Alberto Barcellari on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questo edificio sacro si può datare al XII secolo in quanto viene nominato per la prima volta in un documento del 1179. Venne modificato nel 1391 (come risulta documentato dall'epigrafe murata in controfacciata), poi di nuovo tra il 1781 ed il 1789 per adeguarla ai canoni barocchi. Nel 1954 venne eseguito un radicale intervento di restauro che ripulì la chiesa dalle aggiunte settecentesche, restituendole un aspetto romanico. All'interno si possono ammirare, appesi alle pareti, diversi frammenti di affreschi tardogotici attribuiti al pittore Antonio Mozzi di Contignaco. In controfacciata si trova anche una scultura, forse trecentesca, raffigurante la Madonna col Bambino un tempo posta in facciata. Da visitare assolutamente! This sacred building can be dated to the 12th century as it was first mentioned in a document dated 1179. It was modified in 1391 (as documented by the epigraph walled in the counter-façade), then again between 1781 and 1789 to adapt it to the Baroque canons. In 1954 a radical restoration was carried out which cleaned the church of the eighteenth century additions, giving it a Romanesque appearance. Inside you can admire, hanging on the walls, several fragments of late Gothic frescoes attributed to the painter Antonio Mozzi di Contignaco. In the counter-façade there is also a sculpture, perhaps from the 14th century, depicting the Madonna and Child once placed on the façade. To visit absolutely!

Per arrivarci una stradina con l ultimo tratto costeggiato da cipressi se si continua si arriva al cimitero. Intorno ghiaietta bianca ke la fanno risaltare nella cornice della campagna verde. All' interno bei quadri e qualche affresco ke la rende semplice ma raccolta, romantica e ti senti in pace col mondo. Per questo mi sono sposato qui. Don Renato un parroco umano e vicino a tutti i suoi parrocchiani.!!! A unique Romanesque church with a spectacular view over the valley and the Contignaco castle. To get there, a small road with the last stretch lined with cypress trees, if you continue, you come to the cemetery. Around gravel white ke make it stand out in the frame of the green countryside. Inside, beautiful paintings and some frescoes make it simple but cozy, romantic and you feel at peace with the world. That's why I got married here. Don Renato a human pastor and close to all his parishioners. !!!

Statua (forse trecentesca) della Madonna col Bambino in facciata; all'interno, a tre navate, resti di affreschi del XV secolo: Cristo in mandorla, San Giovanni Battista mentre a parte una bella Santa Lucia del 1517 (col nome del committente) Pleasant parish church, on top of a hillock, of Romanesque origins. Statue (perhaps from the 14th century) of the Madonna and Child on the facade; inside, with three naves, remains of 15th century frescoes: Christ in almond, San Giovanni Battista while apart from a beautiful Santa Lucia from 1517 (with the name of the client)
B	Barbara Borghi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo entrati in questa chiesetta gioiello per merito delle indicazioni di un parcheggio per camper che si trova proprio in cima alla stradina che porta alla pieve. È veramente deliziosa e merita una visita, approfittatene per andare a vedere il castello di Contignaco raggiungibile da lì a piedi in 15 minuti. Belle viste. We entered this little jewel church thanks to the indications of a parking area for campers which is located right at the top of the road that leads to the church. It is truly delightful and worth a visit, take the opportunity to go and see the Contignaco castle which can be reached on foot from there in 15 minutes. Beautiful views.
