★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Edificio di notevole imponenza anche grazie allo svettante campanile romanico che misura circa 30 metri d'altezza.
E' proprio il campanile la parte più antica che viene datata tra la fine dell'XI e l'inizio del XII secolo. La chiesa originaria è invece completamente scomparsa a causa della ricostruzione effettuata tra il 1700 ed il 1800: di quest'epoca sono gli affreschi sulla volta realizzati dal Borsetti e l'altare barocco. Più antiche sono invece una statua cinquecentesca della Madonna (inserita nell'altare) e le 15 formelle in rame dipinto raffiguranti i Misteri del Rosario che sono del 1663.
Sfatato il mito secondo il quale su questo colle sarebbe esistita una fortezza, bisogna ricordare che in un salone adiacente la chiesa è ospitato un museo etnografico.
A remarkable building also thanks to the soaring Romanesque bell tower which measures about 30 meters high.
The bell tower is the oldest part dating from the late 11th to the early 12th century. The original church has instead completely disappeared due to the reconstruction carried out between 1700 and 1800: the frescoes on the vault made by Borsetti and the baroque altar are from this era. Instead, the sixteenth-century statue of the Madonna (inserted in the altar) and the 15 painted copper panels depicting the Mysteries of the Rosary from 1663 are more ancient.
The myth that a fortress would have existed on this hill has been dispelled. It should be remembered that an ethnographic museum is housed in a hall adjacent to the church.
