The guide doesn't mention it at all, but this little church is truly a wedding favor. Homeless it is nestled between the houses of the Giudecca. I liked it a lot. Among other things, it is one of the first churches in Syracuse

Oggi, complice un bel sole e la voglia di esplorare, mi sono recata in Ortigia e, con sommo rammarico, ho trovato la porta chiusa. Qualcuno dovrebbe comunicare che la struttura è visitabile\aperta solo da Giugno a Settembre. Pazienza!
Ad ogni modo, la facciata del 1380, con le sue linee pulite, il rosone non più centrato, per i successivi rimaneggiamenti, lasciano l'impressione di un luogo unico, in cui il cielo entra prepotentemente nell'architettura, realizzando un capolavoro.
Despite being Syracusan, I have never had the pleasure of seeing this wonderful structure. Today, thanks to a beautiful sun and the desire to explore, I went to Ortigia and, with great regret, I found the door closed. Someone should communicate that the structure can be visited \ open only from June to September. Patience!
In any case, the façade of 1380, with its clean lines, the no longer centered rose window, for the subsequent alterations, leave the impression of a unique place, in which the sky enters powerfully into the architecture, creating a masterpiece.
