★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La trecentesca chiesa di San Giacomo, forse la più antica fra le chiese esistenti di Modica, fuori le mura della città, faceva parte di un cammino di pellegrinaggio, il "sentiero di San Giacomo", percorso rituale per le vie del Paradiso.
Nel piccolo altare vi sono tracce di affreschi antichissimi.
Non è attualmente visitabile se non in occasioni particolari.
The fourteenth-century church of San Giacomo, perhaps the oldest among the existing churches of Modica, outside the city walls, was part of a pilgrimage path, the "path of San Giacomo", a ritual journey through the streets of Paradise.
In the small altar there are traces of ancient frescoes.
It cannot currently be visited except on special occasions.

Situata sulla strada che da Modica Bassa porta a Scicli... da sotto si vede il ponte che bisogna attraversare chi viene da Ragusa... La Chiesa è immersa nella natura.. Peccato che era chiusa e non è stato possibile visitare l'interno...
