★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The church itself is nice but not overly special. The main reason you'd come here for is to get views of Mt Etna and Catania. Just have a look down via Etnea before you pay to go up ( I think it was either €3 or €4) to make sure that Etna isn't hiding behind clouds. There is also an elevator that can take you up to the first level but the stairs aren't that bad overall. In my opinion this is a must do when in Catania.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must to visit place right in downtown, both in day and nightime. The church itself is not so big. The true wow moment will come just when you reach the top of the dome. From there you will be in a perfect viewpoint for taking picture of the Cathedral, from one side, and of the Etna from the other one.
Note that the visibility is influenced by the weather conditions. Note also that in order to reach the top of the dome you must pass through a spiral staircase that can be claustrophobic for someone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To go up the stairs and have a panormaic view lver catania and see Etna, you need to pay 5 euros per person. Up to you to decide if it is worth it for you or not. I think it is a bit exaggerated. I had a pizza, coffee and a coke for the same price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visiting the rooftop of this church was really one of the best thing to do during our afternoon in Catania. It was a pity that there were so many clouds surrounding the Etna! But the view on the port and the Duomo was also very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful old church located next to the duomo. The views from the roof and the terrace are breathtaking, especially at sunset. The tickets are €5 per person to go up.
