Surely the purpose of tourist information is to give information to tourists but they had no desire to do so, didn't have anything or any concept to recommend any attractions and thus help the city they are presumably paid by. Also loads of staff so what where they all doing!

Staff and management need to be totally retrained to get what does customer service mean and why their function exists for.

β β β β β I went to report a scam at the entrance to the autostrada but the staff member told me irritably that it was not her problem. She showed no interest in either taking action herself that could prevent more tourists being ripped off or in informing me where i should report the issue. Pathetic.

β β β β β I cannot recommend them since I got vwry confusing infprmation over there. The staff told me to use Interbus for reaching Siracusa since trains are broken and having Maintenance. I spent 1 hour later trying to book the tickets in the stupid site of Interbus to realise later that trains were running as normal. So i qonder id they have any commisions if they send customers to special organisations. You are here to help tourists but not to confuse them. Shame!

β β β β β Rude and unwelcoming - Quite the opposite to how visitor information staff should behave. They also gave us incorrect information about a church we wanted to visit needing private tours booked in advance. We went to the church anyway and no, no private tours were needed. Staff at the church were dismayed to know that the information desk offices provided incorrect information to visitors, potentially turning them away from their structure.

β β β β β The chubby lady with curly hair is rude at hell. She gave me a map and nothing else. No english or french speaking, no advice,... Only her unfriendly face! What a shame for the beautiful city of Catania.
