★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Palazzo Sammartino Del Pardo è uno dei più interessante Palazzi di Catania . L'edificio non manca di attirare curiosità per le linee barocche che ne decorano la facciata. Interessante il portale che si apre su via Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, con volute capaci di creare un gioco di volumi sfalsati messi in evidenza dalla pietra calcare chiara. Sulla porta arcuata dovevano esserci le armi dei Sammartino che anonimi dovettero asportare, mentre sul portale s'innesta il balcone centrale, retto da mensoloni recanti mascheroni fitoantropomorfi e decorato da un fregio continuo di fiori di loro e freccette. Alle estremità di una trave sono due piccole volute che si possono come firma dell'Architetto Di Benedetto. Il Palazzo appartenne alla famiglia Sammartino di Ramondetta che giunse in Sicilia sotto il re Aragonese Pietro I, proveniente probabilmente dall'area dei Pirinei.
 Palazzo Sammartino Del Pardo is one of the most interesting palaces in Catania. The building does not fail to attract curiosity for the baroque lines that decorate its facade. The portal that opens onto Via Giuseppe Garibaldi is interesting, with volutes capable of creating a play of staggered volumes highlighted by the clear limestone. On the arched door there had to be the weapons of the Sammartino who anonymously had to remove, while on the portal there is the central balcony, supported by corbels bearing phytoanthropomorphic masks and decorated with a continuous frieze of their flowers and darts. At the ends of a beam are two small scrolls that can be signed by the architect Di Benedetto. The palace belonged to the Sammartino family of Ramondetta who arrived in Sicily under the Aragonese king Pietro I, probably coming from the Pirinei area.
