Anticamente chiamato borgo di Celsa, per la presenza dei gelsi nei terreni dei frati Agostiniani. Dopo il restauro avvenuto nel 1980 la struttura è stata utilizzata per mostre d'arte. From this place opens a magnificent view of the village of Ischia Ponte. Formerly called the village of Celsa, due to the presence of mulberries in the lands of the Augustinian friars. After the restoration which took place in 1980, the structure was used for art exhibitions.

B	B.TT. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Costruita a partire dal 1737 al posto di una precedente cappella dedicata a S.Francesco, la chiesa della Beata Vergine Assunta, detta dell'Immacolata, fu voluta dalla madre badessa Battista Lanfreschi dell'attiguo Convento delle Clarisse. L'onere della costruzione, particolarmente rilevante data la mole e le scelte architettoniche della chiesa (vedi struttura e dimensioni della cupola), risultò non sostenibile per il convento, già gravemente indebitato; si giunse addirittura a dover vendere l'argenteria del Convento per far fronte alle spese più immediate. Per questo motivo la chiesa non fu ultimata e le sue pareti sono oggi completamente bianche. Built from 1737 in place of a previous chapel dedicated to St. Francis, the church of the Blessed Virgin of the Assumption, called the Immaculate, was commissioned by the mother abbess Battista Lanfreschi of the adjacent Convent of the Poor Clares. The burden of construction, particularly significant given the size and architectural choices of the church (see the structure and dimensions of the dome), proved to be unsustainable for the convent, already heavily indebted; it even came to having to sell the silverware of the Convent to face the most immediate expenses. For this reason the church was not completed and its walls are now completely white.

Appare netto lo stile barocco della struttura, edificata nel XV secolo con al lato l'episcopio (utilizzato sino al 1750) e il monumentale convento delle Clarisse. The Church of the Immaculate Conception located near the Aragonese Castle is very large, so much so that the imposing bulk of its dome is noticed by the whole city of Ischia. The baroque style of the structure appears clearly, built in the fifteenth century with the episcope (used until 1750) and the monumental convent of the Poor Clares.
