Large and spacious church, fresh in summer and warm and comfortable in winter thanks to the air conditioning system that was put in place after the recent renovation. All good priests who take turns so as not to make the faithful miss religious ceremonies at all hours but Don Francesco has an extra gear

Reopened for worship last December 6 following important adaptation and functionality works. Spaces previously inefficient have been made usable. Now the church has an air conditioning and video surveillance system that was missing before. The choir has a new, more appropriate position among the assembly. The whole church has a new light thanks to the detachment of wooden structures that obscured the walls. The white repainted columns also provide new reflections. XX (whole building well) The church was built on the land donated by Mr. Pastore, in the same via Rocco Cocchia. Description The church has a triangular plan, with a single nave. It has a main structure in reinforced concrete with brick-concrete floors. The internal walls are plastered and painted in white. The flooring of the hall and the presbytery is made of marble slabs. Adapting to the triangular shape of the lot on which it stands, it does not have a real main facade; it is clad in exposed brick with travertine plinth.

Maybe I am biased because it is my neighborhood but I am convinced that even if built in modern times the church of the Holy Face is a concrete and welcoming reality even if not of architectural interest. Placed in the center of the neighborhood, it gathers numerous faithful also from nearby parishes. The previous parish priest was very playful and easygoing, a spontaneous and sincere comedy but he also knew how to be severe and pungent. The new pastor for his part has collected an inheritance that is not easy, especially with children. Ey a good person, he preaches well but with the little ones he struggles a bit especially when compared to the previous parish priest. The homilies are excellent and he knows how to grasp the key points of the gospel with simple explanations, even if redundant. Although more conventional now, it is still a pleasure to attend the function especially after the recent internal restructuring that has given a touch of technology and modernity to the whole. The choir is now more professional even if I didn't mind the spontaneous singing even of those who didn't know how to sing very well. Five stars are more than you deserve and I would have put six too. For those who are faithful it is worth visiting this church attending the religious service. Bravo all the staff of the parish and the cleaners that Sonia love very accurate. The church can be reached both from the Salerno ring road, exit Pastena and then towards the sea, from the Colombo waterfront or from via Trento. Good accessibility also for disabled people. Free parking nearby.

I would like to point out only the valuable initiative of the parish priest to serve a meal on Sundays at approx. 50 people who obviously can't afford it. These are only the actions to be supported

The church of the Holy Face of Jesus is a staple for the populous neighborhood of Pastena. Recently renovated, it has not lost its initial beauty. As in all parishes, preparation courses are organized for weddings, confirmations and first communion. Masses are very engaging and at various times throughout the day.

Large and bright. According to a traditional tale, in 1506 a pilgrim would have come to Manoppello carrying a panel with what he claimed was the portrait of the face of Christ, which he would have given to the physicist Giacomo Antonio Leonelli, and would therefore have mysteriously disappeared. But what were the bleaches of Jesus? To bring out the face of the Lord, the various moments in the life of Jesus that the Gospels present, from birth to death and resurrection, were reviewed. But, sifting through well, in the Gospels, as in all the writings of the New Testament, there is never any mention of the physical appearance of Jesus. It seems almost impossible that the evangelists do not miss even a detail that would allow us to glimpse even a small detail from the physicality of Jesus.

Church not beautiful according to my tastes. Nice very polished church center floor. City center with its pros and cons. The apse Jesus is a portrait beyond my taste. The face of the Shroud Jesus would have been better, more majestic. The good thing is that it is open some hours of the day even outside the opening hours of the celebrations.

Spacious, bright and peaceful place of worship, well cared for, very suggestive during the Christmas period.
