Gaetano Pollio, il 22 aprile 1982 con decreto n°112 e riconosciuta civilmente con D.P.R. n°160 del 2 gennaio 1984. All’atto della sua costituzione, non essendoci nel territorio una chiesa per le attività di culto e del mistero pastorale, fu utilizzato provvisoriamente un angusto garage di via Rocco Cocchia. DescrizioneLa Chiesa di Gesù Redentore sorge in località Pastena, Salerno, su via F. Cernelutti. Si tratta di un complesso di recente fattura costituito da un'ampio sagrato che funge da diaframma tra la strada antistante e l'interno della chiesa. L'edificio, a pianta rettangolare e a tre navate, presenta struttura in cemento armato e copertura con travi in legno lamellare a vista. L'ingresso avviene attraverso una prima arcata, prospiciente la strada, rivestita in mattoni facciavista, che porta al sagrato, sopraelevato rispetto alla quota stradale circondato, costituito tutt'intorno da un porticato di pilastri rivestiti in tufo e mattoni. Dal sagrato si accede all'aula per mezzo un'arcata gemella, sempre con rivestimento in mattoni e ampia vetrata con profili in acciaio. L'interno riprende i temi dell'esterno; la parete di fondo, su cui si imposta l'abside, è costituita dalla terza arcata gemella, rivestita in mattoni facciavista.
