The opening time of the store is extremely short (11:00~15:00), and I wandered and lingered many times in front of the door, and finally caught the opening time. The lady boss is chatty and enthusiastic, and the store has a rich collection of products from the Florence factory established in 1974, with excellent quality.
This time, the chessboard and chess pieces are all onyx from the Tuscany mines. The stone has a very beautiful natural pattern, showing a noble temperament, and I am quite satisfied.

β β β β β Specifically asked the store owner if the art piece was made in Florence and she confidently said Yes and that they own a workshop that produces these "bronze coated marble-powder statuettes". Came back home to find a miniscule "Made in P.R.C" sticker at the bottom of the box! Nevertheless, they stock some eye-catching and quirky animal/fantasy figurines.

Brought a set at the time, just a standard Staunton pattern but beautifully finished....the good news is that my wife and I will be back in Florence in September this year....looking forward to buying a travel set (or two) this time around...

The communicatin with Marco was excellent, he took me advice wich Chessboard would match to the Chessmen i already had choosen.
His tip was perfect, Chessmen and Chessboard are perfectly matching into my office.
The Shipping with DHL was quite fast, everything was perfectly secured in the box.
