Mi viene fissato l'appuntamento alle 8 del mattino e ....sorpresa, l'appuntamento era per certificato senza ECG sotto sforzo. Ovviamente non avevo nessun riscontro, ne un sms e neanche una mail, morale...... ho perso tempo inutilmente!!! Mai più mi rivolgerò a loro!!! Siamo arrivati a Milano angosciati dalla situazione drammatica dell’ulcera infetta di mia madre che si era estesa a tutto il terzo inferiore della gamba, nonostante pulizia chirurgica e trattamenti antibiotici locali e sistemici. Nel corridoio del primo piano del Pacini abbiamo visto la luce dopo il tunnel. Già nell’approccio, alla prima visita, il vulnologo Maierà ha dimostrato la competenza, la preparazione, e la giusta attitudine mentale per adempiere nel modo migliore il delicato incarico che gli stavamo affidando, con il giusto ottimismo di chi conosce il suo mestiere. Abbiamo molto apprezzato la sua grande esperienza, associata ad un’apertura alla discussione, senza arroganza. Con il vulnologo Maierà è stato possibile instaurare un rapporto di discussione scientifica amichevole e stimolante, che ho apprezzato molto, essendo microbiologa e lavorando in una ditta farmaceutica. Le cure sono state lunghe, i progressi lenti, ma continui, via via ci hanno incoraggiato nel percorso lento della guarigione. Anche quando, dopo tre mesi di cure ambulatoriali al Pacini, siamo tornati nel luogo di residenza dei miei, abbiamo ricevuto dal vulnologo Maierà un supporto tecnico a distanza insuperabile e indimenticabile, e che mi porta a consigliarlo caldamente a chiunque.
