★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The oldest church in Triest. Interesting fact is that it is "made of two churches". On this site there were two separate churches built in XI and XII century. They were joined into a single bigger church in XIV century - demolition of parts of the older churches were required.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 14th century Gothic rose window, the portal and the massive bell tower. The whole of the façade, a hut. S. Giusto is a 'cathedral-patchwork' built in Roman times, on a paleochristian hall. Inside, the cathedral surprises, among the forest of columns, for the width of the five naves and the magnificent mosaics of the Venetian-Byzantine school (XII-XIII century). the magnificent wrought-iron chandelier overlooking the central nave, forged by Massimiliano for the throne room of his castle and then given to the cathedral before leaving for Mexico where he later died.
