A	Arnaud Hoc on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ James Joyce et Italo Svevo, les deux grandes figures littéraires de Trieste, valent franchement mieux que ce pseudo musée. La triste exposition tient en deux pièces et ne présente qu'un intérêt très limité. Le lieu ne vaut absolument pas le détour, mais si vous passez par là, il ne vous en prendra pas plus de 20 minutes. En lisant les commentaires dithyrambiques laissés par certains, je me demande sincèrement si nous avons visité le même musée. Fort opportunément, l'entrée est gratuite. James Joyce and Italo Svevo, the two great literary figures of Trieste, are frankly better than this pseudo museum. The sad exhibition is divided into two rooms and is of very limited interest. The place is absolutely not worth the detour, but if you pass by, it will not take you more than 20 minutes. Reading the rave reviews left by some, I sincerely wonder if we have visited the same museum. Very conveniently, entry is free.

Nonostante le dimensioni ridotte della struttura, la guida (nonchè responsabile, credo) è stata capace di affascinarmi per un'ora e mezza sulla vita e le opere dei due scrittori, si vedeva davvero la sua passione! Ingresso gratuito The museum consists of only two rooms, in which letters and memorabilia belonging to Svevo and Joyce are kept. Despite the small size of the structure, the guide (as well as responsible, I believe) was able to fascinate me for an hour and a half about the life and works of the two writers, you could really see his passion! Il valore aggiunto di questa tappa da assaporare con passione e lentezza è il racconto appassionato del custode che ti porta per mano attraverso gli anni della vita di Italo Svevo e della sua famiglia. Merita ovviamente se siete appassionati lettori e se conoscete le opere dei due notevoli scrittori, ma se vi capitasse di andarci trascinati da altri potrebbe anche essere la scintilla per leggere o rileggere le loro opere trovandole vive, fresche ed attuali come non mai. It is not a real museum but two rooms with some finds and various reproductions of notes, letters and photos. The added value of this stage to be savored with passion and slowness is the passionate story of the caretaker who takes you by the hand through the years of the life of Italo Svevo and his family. Obviously it deserves if you are passionate readers and if you know the works of the two notable writers, but if you happen to be dragged by others it could also be the spark to read or reread their works, finding them alive, fresh and current as never before.

The stairs have some fine old photos of Trieste and the rooms dedicated to Svevo and James Joyce are very interesting. There is an interesting 15 minute video to watch about Joyce in Trieste. The staff are very happy to give a guided tour, speak several languages and are knowledgeable and friendly.
