Il particolare più antico ancora visibile è la muraglia a levante, costruita intorno alla metà del '400 con belle torri di difesa, anche se cimate; il palazzo sembra, invece, del 1600. I vasti lavori di restauro comandati dai Sella nel 1835 hanno, purtroppo, alterato la situazione ma hanno almeno impedito che un luogo ricco di storia si perdesse nell'abbandono, come successo ad altri castelli. The castle is private and can only be visited occasionally. Nothing remains of the castrum already attested in 1011 as well as of the popular shelter that stood opposite. The oldest detail still visible is the east wall, built around the middle of the 15th century with beautiful defense towers, albeit topped; the building seems, instead, of 1600. The extensive restoration works commanded by the Sella in 1835 have unfortunately altered the situation but have at least prevented a place rich in history from being lost in abandonment, as happened to other castles.

Dell'originaria fortezza medievale non rimane quasi più nulla, ad eccezione di parte delle mura difensive e della struttura di alcune torri. Il resto del complesso è stato ricostruito in epoca rinascimentale e, ancor di più, nel corso dell'Ottocento da parte della famiglia Sella. Il grande parco e l'edificio centrale sono chiari esempi dell'architettura signorile dell'epoca. Oggi sembra lasciato a se stesso, almeno in parte, eppure è ancora in grado di trasmettere un fascino particolare, grazie anche al fatto di sorgere su di un dosso alluvionale del fiume Sesia. The testimonies of the existence of the castle of Vinzaglio are among the oldest in the area: it is already mentioned in a document of 1011, when it stood inside the castrum of Viguciallum. Almost nothing remains of the original medieval fortress, with the exception of part of the defensive walls and the structure of some towers. The rest of the complex was rebuilt in the Renaissance period and, even more, during the nineteenth century by the Sella family. The large park and the central building are clear examples of the stately architecture of the time. Today it seems left to itself, at least in part, yet it is still capable of transmitting a particular charm, thanks also to the fact that it rises on an alluvial hump of the Sesia river.
