★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello di Cameriano è di origine antichissima. Se ne ha notizia sin dal 989, quando una prima fortificazione era possedimento di nobili franchi, probabilmente di dinastia salica. Il momento di maggior splendore lo visse però nel corso del XV Secolo, sotto l'amministrazione del Marchese Teodoro di Monferrato, periodo in cui fungeva sia da ricetto sia da castello vero e proprio. In seguito passò di proprietà in proprietà, venendo anche occupato da soldati spagnoli durante il XVI Secolo, epoca in cui terminarono le notizie storiche su di esso.
Oggi dell'antica rocca non rimane molto: negli ultimi secoli fu via via soffocata dalle case circostanti, e in parte abbattuta per lasciar spazio alla Chiesa di Santo Stefano e al cimitero. Rimangono però alcune testimonianze dell'antico splendore, come la torre d'ingresso con gli scassi dei bolzoni del ponte levatoio tuttora perfettamente visibili, oltre a una parte del lato nord della costruzione quattro-cinquecentesca.
 Cameriano Castle is of ancient origin. It has been known since 989, when a first fortification was the possession of Frankish nobles, probably of the Salic dynasty. The moment of greatest splendor, however, lived during the fifteenth century, under the administration of the Marquis Teodoro di Monferrato, a period in which it served as both a shelter and a real castle. Later it went from property to property, also being occupied by Spanish soldiers during the 16th century, a time when historical news about it ended.
Today, not much remains of the ancient fortress: in recent centuries it was gradually suffocated by the surrounding houses, and partly demolished to make room for the Church of Santo Stefano and the cemetery. However, there are some testimonies of the ancient splendor, such as the entrance tower with the locks of the bolzoni of the drawbridge still perfectly visible, as well as a part of the north side of the fifteenth-sixteenth century building.
