Beautiful and characteristic castle between Siena and Monteriggioni. The property is private, so it cannot be visited. It is not well maintained.
g	giovanna bonci on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quando lo visitai io era una brutta giornata, piovosa e buia !!! i mobili antichissimi, come pure lampadari ed altri oggetti....adesso sara' stato migliorato... ..ma rimane sempre qudll'aria di mistero che si respira guardandosi intorno !!!!! When I visited it was a bad day, rainy and dark !!! the very old furniture, as well as chandeliers and other objects .... now it will have been improved ... ..but it always remains qudll'air of mystery that one breathes looking around !!!!!
G	Giovanna Aprili on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Semplicemente ci siamo fermati per scattare un paio di foto ad una coppia di sposi (siamo fotografi) con il castello sullo sfondo (circa 300metri dalla strada, non appresso) e un signore ci ha malamente mandati via con fare molto maleducato. Sconsiglio caldamente la sosta. We simply stopped to take a couple of photos of a married couple (we are photographers) with the castle in the background (about 300 meters from the road, not below) and a gentleman badly sent us away with very rude behavior. I strongly advise against stopping.

Colpisce l'alta torre rotonda la cui scala interna a chiocciola ha dato il nome al maniero. Gli altri corpi di fabbrica sono più recenti ma non meno eleganti. Purtroppo sembra abbandonato: un vero peccato. Non visitabile. Beautiful castle to see while crossing the Sienese countryside along the Francigena. The high round tower whose internal spiral staircase gave its name to the manor is striking. The other buildings are more recent but no less elegant. Unfortunately it seems abandoned: a real pity. Not open to visitors.

M	Margherita Robimarga on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello non è un luogo pubblico non si può camminare davanti al castello perché per quelli che abitano lì è come stare nel loro giardino però c'è un pezzo dietro dove si può camminare e dato che non si può camminare non si possono fare le foto, parcheggiare le auto,non si possono fare volare i droni... The castle is not a public place you can't walk in front of the castle because for those who live there it's like being in their garden but there is a piece behind where you can walk and since you can't walk you can't take pictures , parking cars, drones cannot fly ...

Spero organizzino delle visite e che magari nei periodi più turistici sia aperto e visitabile, altrimenti ci dovremo accontentare di vederlo da fuori. Un vero peccato perché sembra promettente, da lontano.
