★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Se vi foste trovati a passare di qui il 30/31 maggio 1859, sareste stati sotto il fuoco incrociato della battaglia tra Garibaldini e austriaci, che sparavano palle di cannone verso la città.
Oggi sono visibili due palle di cannone: una è in cima al muro del centro parrocchiale di via Roma, accanto alla chiesa di San Filippo e San Giacomo, l'altra è ancora appesa a un muro, dal 1859, in un cortile vicino a piazza Fontana. Entrambi sono visibili al pubblico. Sta a voi trovarli.
A dare vita alla casa parrocchiale fu il parrocco Dominelli verso la fine del 1600 ma a renderla abitabile fu il parroco successivo Andrea Sovera che vendette parte della vecchia casa parrocchiale per impiegare il ricavato nella nuova. Essa possedeva un ampio giardino che fu più volte ridotto in occasione degli allargamenti della strada.

Today two cannonballs are visible: one is on top of the wall of the parish center in via Roma, next to the church of San Filippo and San Giacomo, the other is still hanging on a wall, since 1859, in a courtyard near the square Fountain. Both are visible to the public. It is up to you to find them.
To give life to the parish house was the parish priest Dominelli towards the end of 1600 but to make it habitable was the subsequent parish priest Andrea Sovera who sold part of the old parish house to use the proceeds in the new one. It had a large garden which was reduced several times when the road was widened.
