★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A poca distanza dalla chiesa di S. Leonardo si trova l’anti-
co oratorio di S. Sebastiano. Eretto nel 1520 per volere di
una confraternita formatasi in Lajatico, appena due anni
prima, (atto di fondazione 8 aprile 1518) con lo scopo di
raccogliere i confratelli per la preghiera ed altre opere pie.
Pochi anni dopo, infatti, fu istituito uno spedale pei poveri
rimasto attivo fino al 1585. Dal 1946 è riconosciuto come
Cappella dei Caduti. Nel 2001 la facciata è stata abbellita
con l’affresco del pittore Paolo Maiani “Recupero di Memoria” rappresentante il trionfo della Resurrezione.
 A short distance from the church of S. Leonardo is the anti-
co oratory of S. Sebastiano. Erected in 1520 at the behest of
a brotherhood formed in Lajatico, just two years old
first, (deed of foundation April 8, 1518) with the purpose of
gather the brothers for prayer and other pious works.
A few years later, in fact, a hospital for the poor was established
remained active until 1585. Since 1946 it is recognized as
Chapel of the Fallen. In 2001 the facade was embellished
with the fresco by the painter Paolo Maiani "Recovery of Memory" representing the triumph of the Resurrection.
