M	Michele Ilari on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto assolutamente da visitare se si passa a Gaeta. Peccato che l'entrata è a pagamento, ed assolutamente mal indicata. Vi si accede ne da dentro la chiesa, ne dalla porta principale (quella della cappella). L'ingresso vero e proprio è più avanti il portone, dal cortile della scuola di musica. Resta un posto unico, da non perdere. Absolutely place to visit if you go to Gaeta. Too bad that the entrance is paid, and absolutely poorly indicated. It is accessed from inside the church or from the main door (that of the chapel). The actual entrance is further along the main door, from the courtyard of the music school. It remains a unique place, not to be missed.
A	A D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una stella solo per il personale.La persona che ci apre la porta dandoci le spalle chiede 3euro a persona dicendo che sono voluti dal parroco.Fuori nessun cartello per indicare l 'entrata a pagamento. Sicuramente la cultura richiede personale idoneo ed accogliente. La Cappella è di certo da visitare. One star only for the staff. The person who opens the door with his back to us asks for 3 euros per person saying that they are wanted by the parish priest. Outside there is no sign to indicate the entrance fee. Culture certainly requires suitable and welcoming personnel. The Chapel is certainly worth visiting.

Annunziata vi è la cappella dell'Immacolata Concezione è detta anche "Cappella d'Oro" così chiamata per le ricche decorazioni con rifiniture in oro del soffitto ligneo e per le cornici dei 19 quadri (1531) che ricoprono tutta la cappella decorate allo stesso modo. Mentre il nome dell'Immacolata Concezione, deriva dalla immagine della Madonna presente sulla pala dell’altare, dove spesso il papa PIO IX si soffermava in preghiera, durante il suo esilio a Gaeta, e qui in meditazione che pensò al mistero della Immacolata Concezione e alla proclamazione del relativo dogma (1854) Nota: Pio IX, dal 24 novembre 1848 al 12 aprile 1850 fu esule per la presa di Roma da parte di rivoltosi che proclamarono la Repubblica Romana (governata da un triumvirato nel quale era presente anche Giuseppe Mazzini). Spesso nel suo soggiorno a Gaeta, si trovò a pregare davanti al dipinto della Vergine Maria di Scipione Pulzone e proprio in questo periodo il 2 febbraio 1849 scrisse la lettera enciclica che definiva il dogma dell'Immacolata Concezione di Maria.
