Anzi addirittura costruita in modo che il mare ne facesse parte con un pavimento inclinato dalla parte della riva che permettesse l'ingresso delle barchette dei pescatori con l'alta marea. Oggi è cambiata, con i vari lavori di restauro, anche l'inclinazione del pavimento, ma sono contento che sia stata riaperta e che tutti possano visitarla perché è un raro esempio di chiesa romanico-bizantina col suo campanile a vela e la cupola così particolare. Sotto la altare c è un sarcofago romano dei primi secoli con dei leoni ai lati, mentre la croce tra i leoni è stata messa in epoca medievale cancellando la scritta romana. Altri capitelli e basi di colonne sono di epoca romana. Poi ci sono gli affreschi stupendi di epoca alto medievale. Sotto ostensorio ci sono le reliquie dei Santi Zenobio e altri. Dietro la sedia sacerdotale il quadrato in pietra è medievale. Stupenda la linearita della cupola e delle colonne.
