★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food as well as the staff was great. I had some kind of fried Gnocchi which was sooo good and for desert I had the Chocolate Soufflee which I can only recommend as well. Many thanks to the very friendly staff - you were really patient and helpful :)

The dishes are not cheap quality and offer gourmet local dishes.
Recommended tasting of the "crosco" (sweet dried and fried pepper) ... very good. Prices in the standard.

DE: Restaurant sehr nah zum Zentrum, sehr interessante Speisekarte.
Die Gerichte sind nicht "billig" (VOM GESCHMACK HER!!!) und bieten lokale Gourmetgerichte.
Empfohlene Verkostung der "Crosco" (süße getrocknete und gebratene Paprika) ... sehr gut. Preise im Standard.

Le pietanze proposte non sono dozzinali e propongono piatti locali.
Consigliato l'assaggio del crosco...buonissimo. Prezzi nella norma.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food, friendly and efficient service with atmospheric al fresco seating in a hidden quiet street. We had a delicious meal of red pepper potatoes, local lamb, and pork on the bone. The lovely owner even offered a free top up of our grappa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We though the pasta sauce lacked a bit of kick and were pretty bland, but hey at least they made an effort to cook us vegetarian dishes. The waiters were nice and service was fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice restaurant with friendly staff. The outside terrace overlooks parts of the old town of Matera, built into and atop of rocks. The menu features local cuisine and the wine selection is also quite good. I had a very pleasant dining experience. Wait staff speaks English and credit cards are accepted.
