β β β β β We've been extorted by the staff at Budget/Avis Linate. Budget originally did not have the car we reserved and passed us off to Avis. We were told to sign the damage report before seeing the vehicle and they proceeded
to send us on a goose chase for the car which they did not survey with us. Because of how the car was parked, we could not view/photograph the front of the car. They claimed they found a mark on the front bumper when we returned (although they ignored the marks that we documented on the car, which were not listed on the condition report) and made up an arbitrary amount for us to pay. I do not normally write reviews but the customer service rep refused to acknowledge my documentation proving them wrong. Please rent cars from other providers and avoid Budget/Avis Linate at all costs.

β β β β β Consider bringing your bicycle to travel around. It can be much faster than waiting for them to deliver your car.They have an interesting system in which they rent more cars than they have available. I was there roughly one hour before the reservation time, which, for serious and professional companies, should not be a problem. Then I returned exactly on time to find out they still didn't have a car for me. The very impolite attendant simply asked me to return later, in the afternoon to see if they would have something - a surreal response. One hour later they came with a car, with higher rating than the one from my reserve, but I would have to pay extra for their mess. Two hours later I got a disgusting FIAT Qubo, but since I was late, I had to take it. It took me longer to fly from the Netherlands, including the trains I usually take, than to drive from this airport to Lecco. I was not even surprised to see other people having the same problem while sitting there.

β β β β β Never again with Budget at Linate Airport:
We rented a car for 0100 PM. Our flight was delayed by a couple of hours, I called them and told them that we will be late. They said no problem, will put it into the system. Unfortunately I did not get a confirmation email.
When we arrived at 0600 PM, the agent had to check if our car was still available. And of course it was not there anymore, but they offered us the next higher category for 181 Euro more. For our reserved car. I did already pay 224 Euros, so almost double the price for the rent. After lots of discussion and no signs of help, I took the next higher category. So for me it was a total rip off.

β β β β β If you are traveling from out of country.. DON'T rent car from them. They will not disclose all the charges up front. They lie. First they can't speak English properly. I asked them everything and Guy kept saying yes yes yes. There was a lady working with this guy and they kept talking in Italian and laugh. I should have known that there is something fishy. They gave us GPS saying that there is no GPS in car and internet won't work in mountains which was a big lie. They never said anything about airport charges and told me if I want to drop of the car at Malpensa Airport there will be only 15 euro extra charges where I am being charged crazy amount. I would suggest don't bother to rent car from them in Europe. I dropped off the car in less than 12 hrs but still being charged for 2 days just because there was no one at drop of location (Malpensa Airport) and i dropped the keys in drop box. How is it my fault as customer that there is no one available to take the car. Also, even though i filled the gas tank right before dropping off the car. they still charged me and now no one will call me back or fix my bill. I have been calling them everyday. I am so disappointed. In Canadian dollars, I have paid about $490 for a basic car for 1 day whereas when i rented the car guy told me it would be only about 50 euros if i drop it off before 24 hrs with full gas. SAVE YOURSELF AND RENT FROM SOMEONE ELSE.

β β β β β 2h30 min to be served at the desk, only to find out that the car I booked and pre-paid was still not available and that they apply weird old-fashioned bail payment policies for which they do not accept nominative debit cards if the characters are not embedded.
They didn't even care to solve my problem as I book through rentalcars. In the end I had to go to Sixt and pay a lot as it was without reservation
Extremely rude and unprofessionals, do not rent there

β β β β β The worst experience in my life. They do fake scratches and will charge you extras after the return. They charged me for gasoline, a scratch and some other mystical reason however the vehicle has been returned on time, full tank and no new scratches. Full coverage has been purchased to avoid those things, but still they charged me. This is a scam organization , not a business. Will report It everywhere I can. ))) DOn't rent here, no way. Go with Sixt or others, who is a little more expensive, but don't do mistakes like we did. Good luck.

β β β β β TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH BUDGET MILANO LINATE
We rented a car for 3 days and after waiting for hours and missing appointments, we received the car. When we returned it, there was nobody to receive the car. We returned the car in impeccable condition. Now they charge without any notification to my credit card ridiculous ammounts (around 300 euros). When calling customer service, they say it`s bacause of damage, but they can`t tell me what kind of damage. I send them pictures of the car showing the car has no damage whatsoever.
Please don`t rent a car with Budget at Linate airoport. I rent frequently at Lintate airport and my experience with Locauto is pretty good.
UPDATE: one week later and after several phone calls and emails, I still have not received any feedback or even an explanation why they charged my credit card. This is unbeliveable and unacceptable.
PLEASE DO YOURSELF AND OTHER CUSTOMERS A FAVOUR AND DONΒ΄T RENT A CAR AT BUDGET LINATE. THESE KIND OF BUSINESS PRACTICES SHOULD STOP.

β β β β β DO NOT RENT HERE! : Unilateral random charges to our card!!
1. We rented the car for 3 days, the initial day of the rental they took HALF a day to give us the car (Around 1 pm). Making us loose all our appointments of that day.
2. They charged us 300 additional euros. When we asked what happened, they say it was "damage on the car". But they don't know which kind of damage, not able to give us any explanation about the charge. At the moment of giving back the car, no one was there, so we left the key in the box and took pictures of the car.
3. They have made several unilateral charges to our credit card, some of them disappear after, some of them stay and are called a "damage on the car that we don't know what it is"
Update: As recommended we have contacted the Customer Service team, who has no clue on what we did to the car.
