β β β β β Great place to eat just outside the walls of Monteriggioni. Unfortunately, since we do not eat eggs, we had to order the gluten free spaghetti. But, it was fantastic. Their Pomodoro sauce was very good. Definitely a great place to eat an authentic Tuscan meal.

β β β β β In a first glance it appears to be a touristy watering hole - itβs very deceptive. The ambiance is very low key, and unassuming. The food and service is phenomenal. Their Ribolito and pici pasta with kale and fried bread crumbs - phenomenal!

Took over 45 minutes to get a simple one course lunch. Consisting of a spaghetti carbonara (egg was scrambled), caprese salad, which didnβt even include a whole tomato, let alone mozzarella. Definitely much better eating options in Montereggione, about 3 minutes away.

β β β β β Nice lunch and dinner restaurant as an alternative for a nearby Monteriggioni castle (2/3 of the prices there). Parking place at the opposite side of the road. A lot of locals.very busy staff, but waiting time fo the table is acceptable. Wide variety of Italian dishes but no pizza. Nice spaghetti al ragu, picci and lasagne, also meats are available. The restaurant sells also local meat, olives and other specialities. I recommend that place as it is only 700m away from the castle, but the food and prices are much better.

β β β β β Not bad. We had Tagliata and Lasagna. The Chianti wine was fine. Not too expensive, location not great, but close to Monteregioni, our destination for this day.
