M	Matteo Ranalli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bivacco ben tenuto, decisamente sopra la media, soprattutto se paragonato ad alcuni delle Apuane. Legna asciutta, bivacco pulito (eccetto il soppalco). Well kept bivouac, definitely above average, especially when compared to some of the Apuan Alps. Dry wood, clean bivouac (except the mezzanine).
P	Paolo Poziello on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il sentiero che porta a questo bivacco o baita è molto semplice e immerso per la sua quasi totalità sotto alberi quindi la passeggiata anche se estiva risulta piacevole. Lungo il sentiero dal rifugio Mattei al Tifoni non esistono sorgenti ma oltrepassando il bivio per la baita a circa 15 min vi è una sorgente . Imboccato il bivio per la baita il sentiero si fa un poco più impegniativo con inclinazione maggiore rispetto al resto ma nulla di complicato. Circa mezz'ora e si arriva alla baita collocata in una radura dove si trova una fontana con non sempre acqua disponibile. La baita piccolina ma accogliente può ospitare più persone. Il soppalco dove si va a dormire può ospitare anche sei persone e all'occorrenza si può ricavare altri posti sul tavolo e panche li presenti. Presenti camino e stufa in ghisa e legnaia nel retro casa. Rispettate il posto è ciò che si trova al suo interno ed esterno dimostrando intelligenza e non stupidità. Buon divertimento The path that leads to this bivouac or hut is very simple and almost entirely immersed under trees so the walk, even if in summer, is pleasant. There are no springs along the path from the Mattei refuge to the Tifoni, but after crossing the junction for the cabin there is a spring in about 15 minutes. Once you have taken the crossroads to the hut, the path becomes a little more challenging with a greater inclination than the rest but nothing complicated. About half an hour and you arrive at the hut located in a clearing where there is a fountain with water not always available. The small but cozy hut can accommodate more people. The mezzanine where you go to sleep can also accommodate six people and if necessary you can get other seats on the table and benches present there. There is a fireplace and cast iron stove and woodshed in the back of the house. Respect the place is what is inside and outside by showing intelligence and not stupidity. Good fun

V	VR 64 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sia dal sentiero che parte un paio di kM prima del Passo del Cirone (versante pontremolese) che dal rifugio Mattei, i sentieri per arrivarci sono agevoli; molto più breve quello dal Mattei. Se siete sulla GEA, troverete le indicazioni all'altezza delle Bocchette dell'Orsaro. La discesa val la pena. La Baita Tifoni, grazie al CAI di Pontremoli, è veramente ben tenuta e provvista di tutto. Vicinissima l'acqua potabile spillata da una sorgente poco distante. Both from the path that starts a couple of kilometers before the Cirone Pass (Pontremoli side) and from the Mattei refuge, the paths to get there are easy; the one from Mattei is much shorter. If you are on the GEA, you will find the signs at the Bocchette dell'Orsaro. The descent is worth it. La Baita Tifoni, thanks to the CAI of Pontremoli, is really well maintained and equipped with everything. Drinking water drawn from a nearby spring is very close.
