★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crocevia per tanti percorsi naturalistici. La fortuna di questo posto è essere una riserva integrale, dunque l'accesso coi mezzi è gestito e autorizzato dall'utb. Peccato che al momento il rifugio sia in ricostruzione, distrutto qualche anno fa da un incendio.
Crossroads for many nature trails. The fortune of this place is to be an integral reserve, therefore the access with the means is managed and authorized by the utb. Too bad that at the moment the refuge is being rebuilt, destroyed by a fire a few years ago.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si raggiunge dopo aver lasciato la strada che va a Montalto di Gambarie d'Aspromonte nello spiazzale Materazzelli ed aver percorso circa 12 km in una strada a tratti sterrata ma tenuta in buone condizioni. La chiusura, con entrata solo dopo averne fatto richiesta , ha fatto sì che tutto il percorso che porta al rifugio ( ed esso stesso) siano puliti ed in ordine. Meta fantastica ed assolutamente da non perdere. Il rifugio è in ristrutturazione,sperando che venga presto completato.
It can be reached after leaving the road that goes to Montalto di Gambarie d'Aspromonte in the Materazzelli area and having traveled about 12 km on a road that is sometimes unpaved but kept in good condition. The closure, with entry only after requesting it, has ensured that all the path leading to the refuge (and itself) are clean and in order. Fantastic destination and not to be missed. The refuge is under renovation, hoping that it will soon be completed.
