★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good ice cream, especially liked the pistachio ice cream which was very smooth (but not fat), had an intense flavor and also some slight saltiness. Caramel and Baccio were also top notch, regrettably I did not stay long enough in Florence to try all flavors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly the best gelato shop I’ve been to in my 2 weeks in Italy. All the flavors are authentic and taste exactly like their name. There’s hardly any line and it’s very spacious. After we asked for a few too many testers, the servers were a bit impatient, but the quality of the gelato and range of desserts available are just outstanding! It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere, but it’s definitely worth the walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just after arriving in Firenze, I hiked the town and passed through the crowded tourist zones. All the "recommended" gelato joints were overflowing, with lines into the street. I passed by this place on my way back to the hotel, and noticed there were just a few patrons inside. Wanting a cold cup, I went in and made a selection. :: Bottom line — this is the place you want to visit. Creamy and delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried gelato all over Florence, and this place had hands-down the absolute best lemon gelato (my staple choice). We tried pistachio gelato for the first time, and it was utterly dreamy! Just a hint of saltiness, and full of pistachio flavour, with no weird green dye.
This gelato is clearly made the highest quality ingredients — no artificial flavours or colours, and with an eye to seasonal fruit availability.
Other winning flavours were tiramisu, the most chocolately chocolate, and a hazelnut gelato with a layer of chocolate hazelnut spread on top, called Cremino.
The service was friendly, with patient and fatherly understanding of one kid’s long deliberations. Reasonable prices, too.
Highly recommended!
