Puzza di muffa in camera.Non potendo fare 4 piani di scale a piedi x problemi artosici abbiamo rinunciato al soggiorno pur avendo pagato in anticipo e mentre stavamo facendo le nostre recriminazioni con la proprietaria è entrato un signore che ha chiesto" hanno pagato?"Ho capito che a loro interessava solo quello.Alla faccia della serietà
 Dilapidated structure. Elevator not working. It smells of mold in the room. Not being able to walk 4 floors of stairs for arthritic problems we gave up the stay despite having paid in advance and while we were making our complaints with the owner a gentleman came in and asked "have they paid?" realized that they were only interested in that. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il costo non è assolutamente proporzionato ai servizi e alle condizioni: struttura collocata in un palazzo molto vecchio e poco manutenuto, bagno cieco con aspiratore rotto, telefono della doccia impossibile da fissare al muro perchè malfunzionante, infissi piuttosto logori, colazione minimale al bar (dove mi hanno offerto tutti i giorni un caffè oltre il the e la brioche, giacchè è prevista un'unica bevanda o in alternativa una granita), la proprietaria non ha risposto alla mia richiesta di informazioni via mail prima dell'arrivo, e ha risposto negativamente alla mia richiesta di lasciare il bagaglio in deposito per una mezza giornata il giorno del check out (max 2 ore consentite). La zona è rumorosissima, e in aggiunta c'è il mercato alimentare tutte le mattine, l'unica cosa positiva è la vista del mare.
The cost is absolutely not in proportion to the services and conditions: structure located in a very old and poorly maintained building, blind bathroom with broken vacuum cleaner, shower telephone impossible to fix to the wall because it is malfunctioning, rather worn fixtures, minimal breakfast at the bar (where they offered me a coffee every day as well as tea and brioche, since there is only one drink or alternatively a granita), the owner did not respond to my request for information via email before arrival, and replied negatively to my request to leave the luggage in storage for half a day on the day of check out (max 2 hours allowed). The area is very noisy, and in addition there is the food market every morning, the only good thing is the view of the sea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stanza pulita, accogliente, fornita di WiFi e con un ampio terrazzino con vista diretta sul mare. La proprietaria, gentilissima, ci ha fornito anche depliant e piantine di Ortigia.
Il frigorifero purtroppo è in comune con altri alloggi.
Prezzo nella norma...
Clean, cozy room, equipped with WiFi and with a large terrace with direct sea views. The owner, very kind, also provided us with brochures and maps of Ortigia.
Unfortunately, the fridge is shared with other accommodations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing view!!! Very good B&B, felt small although not sure how many rooms? Lady was very helpful but not over attentive, spotted it was my birthday from my passport and brought a cake with candle in the morning!! She and other guests sang happy birthday! Very lovely experience. Fab very Italian lift up to the rooms adds to the experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible experience here. Difficult to find which room is Ida Bianca's the host as not well signposted. We were not offered a drink on arrival despite being very hot. We choose to stay due to the great reviews of breakfast. However, the host ARGUED with us that this was not on our booking despite we clearly showed her it was. This led to an uncomfortable confrontation and made us feel totally unwelcome instantly. She also wanted to retain our ID cards which is against Data Protection law. The room was ok, very dated, compliments to the cleaner he kept the room immaculate the shower consistently cold as she turns the boiler off. Stayed two days. Would have happily checked out right away as made to feel so very unwelcome!!!! Sicilians are out to rip you off from start to finish. Host also demanded we deal with the issue direct when the business is hers to deal with, we were on holiday!
