L	Luigi Lenoci on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I left the car in the Return area before the office opened at 8 a.m. and afterwards I noticed that I was charged 240 EUR for scratches to the front bumper already present at the time of pick-up, together with many others not reported in the contract. My fault but be VERY careful in the preliminary check of the vehicle! Given the previous comments here it looks like is a "bad practice" to me. UPDATE I was contacted by the Customer Care Manager of Bologna BLQ after 30 minutes from my report to the company. They apologized for not having correctly updated the conditions of the vehicle and explaining me the activities in progress to improve their service effectively. For the future, being a frequent business traveler, I received their direct mail / telephone contact for reports, even with the office closed, thus avoiding the closure of the contract with unwanted charges and new complaints. I add that I will not have any actual charge as I had added extra damage and theft coverage, which I highly recommend.

We rented a small car via a third party agency which turned out to be too small for the amount of luggage we brought. They offered a free upgrade to a medium-sized SUV, which was perfect for us. They were also very quick to help when we needed to rent our car for 2 additional days. Overall we had a great experience with them.

I came to the Budget front desk manager Karina informed me that I HAVE TO buy (40 Euros)snow chains for the car since the car has summer tires, so I did, however, the was no that would fit my car, and the manager refused to refund me for that. This is one part of the problem. When I came to the car it had DAMAGES all around (PHOTOS ATTACHED!). So I had to spend another 30 minutes to explain to a manager Karina she REFUSED to replace a car for us and did not even give us paperwork that would show all those damages on the car, and did not give us a contract JUST A KEY FROM THE CAR AND THIS IS IT and said that company DOES NOT care about the damages on the car! Was SUPER RUDE!!! Now I'm afraid that Budget will charge me for all of that damages!!!!! I need your IMMEDIATE attention to this issue and a refund for the snow chains THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE FOR THIS CAR. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH CAR RENTAL COMPANY IN MY LIFE!!! ALL PHOTOS ATTACHED

So, you get into the counter, and it's needed to scan a QR code to fill in basic data and your phone number, so someone will call you to verify your booking?? Value added of the staff on the counter is close to zero. When after some minutes someone is calling you, you have to repeat by phone all data you have already introduced before while making the reservation, including your credit card details???? Then after, you have to queue again and pick up the keys. Basically it took same time from Frankfurt to Bologna as pick up the car keys. Never book a car there.

Do you have an e-mail or how do you advise that I send to you? (Additional information 12apr2022 - I never received an e-mail from Avis/David to followup - so my review has not changed) ----- Untrustworthy! I had reserved a car before leaving from Denmark for my summer vacation. When I pickup the car, I was offered an upgrade for 10EUR per day to have an automatic transmission. Seemed like a good offer. The person in the Avis counter assured me that this was the only additional price. The paperwork was rushed through and I was asked to sign on my iPhone. No time to read through the document. I ended up having an additional price of 200EUR - 120EUR more than the Avis staff told me. Completely untrustworthy. I found out afterwards that the airport tax was included in my original offer, but due to the upgrade, it was a completely new contract - meaning they could put the airport tax on top. So basically I payed 200EUR for the upgrade which I was told was a 80EUR upgrade.
A	Alban Velo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used Budget Avis from 9-13 september 2021. The car that they gave me as an "upgrade" was scratched and dented. Prior to pick up I took pictures of all the damages. No one by the agency accompanied me on pick or return of the car. After returning the car, on 14 september they sent me a damage report of 1 257 euro and took the money from the card. I sent to them (damage department and customer service) all the info and pictures but no reaction and reimbursement. So now I have contacted a lawyer in Bologna to follow up my case and ask for repayment and for damage counter claim. Hopefully they will learn as defrauding people is not the business they are supposed to be.
