β β β β β I would give it a zero if I could. We rented an expensive car and upon return was checked by a responsible person. They were happy with it and we left. 3 weeks later I got an email claiming there was damage that was my fault. They even provided me with a full report saying I needed to pay over 1000 euro. I thankfully had a photo showing damage that was already (and they blamed me for) there prior to driving off when we first arrived. They also sent a feedback form conveniently within the first week in order to get a good score prior to attacking me with their fake claims. I would strongly recommend you video the car before and after and if it is checked by someone upon return, record that as well. I am afraid they seem to do it continuously on various individuals in order to gain anything they can from the excesses.

β β β β β The first impression was efficient but sadly it went downhill from there.
We were offered an upgrade but some 5 km out of the airport, the car broke down. Having nursed it back to the airport, we were then back into the original car. Before we left the airport, we highlighted the fact that the fuel gauge was only showing 3/4 full but was advised this was down to a sticking float (yes really) in the fuel tank.
The rest of the rental was uneventful and filled the car back up prior to arrival back at the airport.
You can therefore imagine my surprise at
a, being charged 70EUROS to refill the car
b, an extra 100EUROS in taxes not mentioned in any correspondence or advised at the rental desk.
I have emailed SIXT twice inc pictures of the fuel gauge when the car was collected but sadly have received no reply.
It's somewhat unlikely i will be using SIXT again or recommending them.

β β β β β Best experience ever with car rental, Sixt is an outstanding company. I was greeted like a friend at the desk. The lady who helped me was very knowledgeable and helped me select a car appropriate to my needs. Bringing back the car was a breeze! Thanks Sixt, I will most definitely be back.

β β β β β All your service was very good, especially kind staff, which accepted our requests, all was very fast and professional. We were very surprised from from very friendly explaining of everything, what we needed to know. We found our car during few minutes. Before comming back we just added fuel and staff again very fastly checked the car, all was provided in very high level of rental service. Next time we will use again your rental services, that's sure. Thanks much and see you next time!

β β β β β Definitely do not rent a car from Italy, they are fraudulent. They are constantly taking money from your credit card at certain intervals.

β β β β β When I arrived at Sixt Bologna I had been travelling all day & my luggage was lost, so I was a bit fed up. Unfortunately I had a couple of issues with the front desk at Sixt, which I don't normally have. They are usually very good. Stefano Brunelli & Kevin helped me sort them out. I went on my way & got my first puncture in a rental car after more than 20 years. I changed the wheel, returned to Sixt, got another car & went on my way again. The followup communication & help from Stefano was fantastic. When I returned several weeks later to rent another car Stefano & Rosario R made sure that I was looked after royally. This kind of service will keep my loyalty to Sixt. Molto bene.
