For those reading, we were unsure as to what would be provided to us by the tour company and brought with us a whole bunch of extra layers but were very happy to learn that we were provided comfortable boots, fleece, and down jackets- we were also offered backpacks and walking poles...we left most of what we had originally brought in the car. We also had the pleasure of being guided by Pepe who went above and beyond to explain Etna and provide us with a unique experience...we got closer to the sites than most other tour groups and really had an incredible unique visit...thanks PEPE! Highly highly recommended, don’t forget to grab a sandwich at the meeting point. A++++

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing trekking with an expert guide that gave us many information and explanations about volcanoes in general and the Etna in particular. The hike that we did was far from crowds that usually visit this mountain, and we could enjoy this nice place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The experience of Etna is the best!!!! If you visit Sicily you have to go to Etna! But of course with a guided tour because it can be dangerous to go alone. Luca was awesome! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s quite difficult to choose the “rights” guys to do the Etna. So many people proposing a day or half a day at the Etna and more or less at the same price…
The guys at Aitne Med: if you want to do the Etna, DO choose them ! This was one of the best days of our trip.
It started at 9am. 50 euros per adult. 40 for Kids. On top on that, you have to pay for the funicular (24 euros).
And then, we started our journey. This is 100 % dedicated to the Etna. No wine taste or whatever.
Pure Etna.
A group of 15 people. Up to 2900 meters. Many details given to better understand that mountain. And the guides are really fond of Etna. We chose not to take the funicular on our way down. They are the only ones to propose that, by the way. 40 minutes of pure pleasure, walking or even running like it was snow.
