★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The etna moving tour (from a teenagers point of view) was amazing! I went with my parents and my brother, it was so enjoyable, I loved every moment of it. Fabrizio gave us a great tour of the craters, the lava tube and the ox valley. He gave a personal tour and took us to serene and beautiful places away from tourists. I am defiantly coming back here and using this company when I’m older! I recommend this tour.

Our guides picked us up from Trecastagni, which is an easy taxi ride from central Catania.
Our guide, Fabrizio was so enthusiastic about every part of the trip. He was extremely knowledgeable about the volcano and the surrounding area. We drove through the recently formed lava fields and stopped in a basalt quarry to get our first proper look at Etna, WOW. Fabrizio explained about the ecosystem around the volcano and how this develops after an eruption, it was fascinating.
The views are spectacular, there just aren't enough words to describe how great it was. DO check the weather beforehand, we were lucky and had clear skies. Fabrizio explained all the different features of Etna, the type of lava, the different craters, how it's monitored and so on.
After about an hour or so in and around the crater back down the volcano and off to visit a lava tube, which was also spectacular.
We then drove through the chestnut forests to see a famous Valle del Bove, sadly it was shrouded in mist but the fact you could still hear explosions from Etna more than made up for it.
Fabrizio then took us back to Trecastagni and arranged for our taxi to come and collect us.
The whole excursion took about 5 hours and was incredible from start to finish. Fabrizio clearly loves his job and this really enhanced our experience.
I cannot recommend this enough....I will be going back!
