★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an amazing experience, our driver Alessandro was super friendly and spoke good English. He told us a lot of interesting facts while we were driving up. We took the half day trip and it was totally worth it, the drive up to the Etna is beautiful with all the lemon & olive trees, flowers and of course the rocky landscape. The hike is pretty easy, if the weather is good you can just go with regular clothes & sneakers. Another guide, Salvo, told us a lot about the landscape, vegetation and the history of the Etna, he also spoke English perfectly and made many jokes.
For only €10 extra you can choose to be picked up and dropped off again at your apartment/hotel, great service! I recommend this tour company to everyone who wants to visit Etna, we had an unforgettable day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great guide with a lot of experience and an interesting way of passing all the information. The first half of the day was amazing with the 4x4 jeep ride and the hike but the second half was a 2,5h lunch break (seemed to be a one time issue with the restaurant) and the Alcantara Gorge which is overcrowded and I would rate it as nice to have but not spectacular.
Great people but we had bad luck with the organisation on that day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cherry on the top of our travel in Sicily. Although, the message about the departure came in late, there are just superlatives about the tour and the guides. The off-road ride is not that exciting as one could expect, however the views and the mountain itself are enough. Yeah, the next time we'll be up for skiing or hiking for sure!

In short: The tour is grossly overpriced, Go-Etna advertises with false information and services for which you have paid did not happen.
We were offered a tour for 120 EUR/person at an altitude of 3350 m, including cable car, 7-hour hike with guide and 4x4 bus with a "best price guarantee".
Go-Etna cancels things from the programme for which you have paid: Our paid programme was supposed to include the cable car ride, the 4x4 bus ride and a hike to the top of Etna to see the active volcano. The only thing that was actually delivered was the cable car; the hike to the summit and the 4x4 buses were canceled.
Go Etna has exorbitantly overpriced prices: Although the provider advertises on its homepage with a "Best Price Guarantee", the offer is more than twice as expensive compared to other providers (getyourguide, excursionsetna.com, etc.)! Other participants in our group paid 55 EUR for the same tour, while we paid 120 EUR/person. The cable car costs only 30 EUR and the obligatory guide, which Go-Etna books with another provider, costs 9 EUR, so value is 39, not 120!
Go-Etna advertises with false information: Go-Etna advertises a tour at 3350m altitude. However, the government has banned a hike above 3000m since January 2021 due to the high volcanic activity. Go-Etna also knows this and still advertises with this altitude.
In addition, I experienced the service as very bad. A Whatsapp number is provided, but when I contacted it, I received an automatic reply telling me to write to the email. Emails are answered very taciturnly with single words.
I absolutely cannot recommend this provider and advise everyone to use one of the other reputable providers

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In short: people are great, but the tours are overpriced 2x to 3x times vs other operators or buying tickets on Mount Etna itself. The tour company sells tours which they know they cannot accommodate; I hope others won’t fall for this deception. The groups are huge and the hike is not very challenging.
We paid 350 euro (175 per person) for the “Etna Summit Trekking”. This should include a hotel pick up; cable car ride; 4x4 bus ride and a hike to the top of the Etna to witness the active volcano. The only thing that was actually delivered is the hotel pickup and cable car; everything else didn’t happen.
When at the mountain; the cable car costs only 30 euro; the 4x4 bus is 28 euro; the mandatory guide is 9 euro. At Go-Etna; they charge 120 euro for this without any additional benefit.
Given that there is a restriction due to Volcano activity; tours cannot go as high. I can only understand that people put safety first. I cannot understand that this is already since January 2021 and still multiple tours are offered by Go-Etna to 3000 and 3350 meters; which they know are not possible. To make matter worse; they cut out the 4x4 bus to still offer a moderately easy walk. So basically a 39 euro trip is charged at 120 euro. This feels like a straight scam and I hope others will not get cheated by these thieves. Attached are the pricing charts from on the mountain itself and alternative operators. The views on from the Etna and the Etna park itself is truly impressive.
