★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marco is very knowledgeable and speaks English fluently. He picked us up on time (not a given in Sicily) and small talked all the way there and back. The summit was closed due to recent activity but this tour gets you as high up as possible. The off-terrain tour is a larger group, he reserves tickets for that in advance. You could take a cheaper tour and risk not getting a ticket (not an option for us). Adventurous detour through the woods on the way back. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I will never forget hiking up Mount Etna as it was erupting! Marco reassured us that we were safe, as the lava rained down on our helmeted heads. His enthusiasm was infectious, and his knowledge of Etna and its history was impressive. It was the experience of a lifetime!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our tour in September 2021 with Marco! He is knowledge, funny and knows Etna like the back of his hand. While we didn't expect it, in only a short 4 hours we received a crash course in botany, physics and etymology ... Couldn't have asked for more!

Marco is a brilliant guide, (and a warm and fascinating person) there is nothing he doesn’t know about Etna and he speaks with such passion and love for Mamma Etna. His English is perfect, and he pitched the tour just right to keep our young children enraptured with the incredible sights and stories about the volcano. We all were fascinated by the lava tunnel, lava bombs and even the amazing plants we could smell and taste.
The trip was really well planned, just the right length with enough stops for drinks/ restrooms. We really appreciated the collection from Taormina and Marco was early to collect us. Thank you Marco for an incredible day- From your red-haired English family!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was definitely a highlight and one of the best experiences during our Sicily visit! We did the tour of Etna combined with vineyard and wine tasting and it was great! Marco was extremely knowledgeable and an enthusiastic story teller who told us facts and fun stuff about the mountain, history and surrounding area, which made it all that more interesting and a personable experience. We would highly recommend Red Etna Excursion if you've looking for a treat out of the ordinary - they are very professional, communicative and reasonable in price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took the half day Etna tour with Marco yesterday. In addition to three adults we brought our 5 and 3 year old daughters. Marco made sure they felt included and enthusiastic and really tailored the tour to their needs! I wasn’t sure how it would be with small kids but it was great! Honestly once he handed them flashlights for the lava tube they were sold. Marco’s stories and insights were fascinating. We learned a lot about Etna, the region and its history. I would 100% recommend this tour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marco picked us up at our hotel and I knew immediately that I liked him. He is funny and extremely knowledgeable. He took us to all different areas of Mt Etna explaining and telling wonderful stories all the while. His love and passion for what he does is very evident. This tour was better than I could have imagined. This is a spectacular adventure and not to be missed! Marco went above and beyond to ensure that the tour was incredible and it was!
