Zia Restaurant is in Trastevere, and only a 5-minute walk from where I was staying. I secured a reservation weeks in advance, and did receive confirmation from them the day before. Wow. What an incredible, perfect 5-star experience. The service was as stellar as the dishes and drinks themselves. Our main server was so personable and professional, and kindly put up with us practicing our Italian with him. Every drink, glass of wine and plate of food was explained wonderfully. We ordered the 7-course tasting menu, and were also given a few little extras at the beginning. Each bite of food, each flavour was so carefully thought out and so heightened. Spettacolare. Highly recommend!

We had a problem with another reservation and we call to ask for a table at the same day, and they were very kind letting us in a table that was reserved for later (and they explained that). We got the 5 courses menu, but i lost count of the quantity of dishes they served. The food was amazing but i have to say that the service is also the star of the restaurant. 100% recommended.

Me and my boyfriend dinned at Zia almost 2 months ago and we still have discussions about some of the dishes and ingredients. We had the changed to talk to the chef and he also gifted us a menu ☺️ Definitely going back for the autumn menu !

The interior design is beautiful and the staff and service was on par with the best of the best. To our surprise the food was also exquisite. Everything was perfectly synchronized. The food is inventive apart from being delicious. This was my first experience with eel and I'm worried it was too perfect. The wine list is thorough and pairs well. I can't wait to return on my next trip to Rome!

We've been lucky because they put us in a sort of private room next to the wine cellar! The sommelier was really on point and gave us quite some good context on the wines but also the different dishes. This place is definitely recommended if you're looking for a restaurant managed by young people that we will hear about in future! Keep up the great work, the best has yet to come :)
