Fantastic small but highly informative museum, well worth the slight detour. Staff very friendly and wine tasting at end an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Really friendly and knowledgeable staff with wonderful selection of locally produced wines, many of which have won awards. The cantina was closed for Ascension day so this was the next best thing.

Very nice museum with information about the history of wines in general. With wine jars, barrels, stories about old pharmaceutical use of wines. Free Audio-tours, also in English, are available and you can get a combiticket for the Wine- and Olive-oil museum. End the tour with an included wine tasting in the shop of Lungarotti next to the Museo del Vino.

Well worth it. More artifacts and historic documents than you could imagine telling you the entire history of wine in facinating detail. The 7 Euro ticket also includes the nearby museum of olive oil. Give yourself an hour to 90 minutes. Go early. Like everything here it closes at 1 pm for a couple hours.

To make the most of this you need to take an audio guide or read the English booklets in each room as the display boards are only written in Italian. Interesting if you like pottery, old tools and books, but no information about wine itself. Best part was the included glass of wine in the neighbouring restaurant where we also ate. Ticket enables you to enter oil museum as well, but we didn't as we ran out of time.
