★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is not a popular spot in Venice for taking pictures but it led us to some very quiet spots along the canals for uninterrupted views. My recommendation is to go through the small alleys and see where you end up. It can be quiet rewarding as long as you have places saved on Google maps for easier navigation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An interesting place to visit taking into consideration that the two gigantic lions have haf their origin in Piraeus, the port of Athens, Greece, which was called after them Porto Leone and were taken to Venice by Morosini in the 17th century.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely neighborhood, a bit away from crowded San Marco. The Naval Museum is really interesting. We sat on a bench to take some sun while listening to the Venetian lagoon - without the noise of the touristy and chaotic San Marco ? Go and say hi to the amazing Lions of Piraeus.
