★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa ebbe origine nei primi anni del XVI secolo e prese il nome di chiesa del quartiere delli Musumeci. Fu riedificata nel 1618-1623 con denaro dei fedeli e per interessamento di Lorenzo Musumeci. Abbattuta dal terremoto del 1693, fu riedificata nell'attuale forma e aperta al culto nel 1768. Elevata a parrocchia nel 1921 fu definitivamente chiusa al culto nel 1983 con l'inaugurazione della nuova chiesa a poca distanza. Oggi ospita nei propri locali il Centro socio-assistenziale Don Concetto Lanzafame e la sede del gruppo scout Acireale 1 Don Biagio Catania
 The church originated in the early sixteenth century and took the name of the church of the Musumeci district. It was rebuilt in 1618-1623 with money from the faithful and for the interest of Lorenzo Musumeci. Knocked down by the earthquake of 1693, it was rebuilt in its current form and opened for worship in 1768. Elevated to a parish in 1921, it was definitively closed for worship in 1983 with the inauguration of the new church a short distance away. Today it houses the Don Concepts Lanzafame social welfare center and the headquarters of the scout group Acireale 1 Don Biagio Catania
