Famosa, oltre che per la sua bellezza, per gli scavi archeologici e per i ritrovamenti di fossili. Nel suo contesto vi è un Ecomuseo del Paleolitico dove vengono riproposti i Tholos con descrizioni didattiche.
 Located in the territory of Abbateggio, the Giumentina Valley is frequented by tourists and inhabitants of the area. Famous, as well as for its beauty, for archaeological excavations and fossil finds. In its context there is a Palaeolithic Ecomuseum where the Tholos are presented with educational descriptions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anche se il primo tratto è un po' assolato, la Valle Giumentina è una passeggiata molto avventurosa ma non adatta per passeggini o carrozzine.
È stata un esperienza bellissima e con me è venuto anche il mio cagnolino ma sta a a voi la scelta di portare il vostro amico a quattro zampe.
La passeggiata è ripida ma fattibile
Even if the first part is a bit sunny, the Giumentina Valley is a very adventurous walk but not suitable for strollers or baby carriages.
It was a wonderful experience and my little dog came with me but the choice of bringing your four-legged friend is up to you.
The walk is steep but doable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sentiero ad anello valle giumentina: sfortunatamente non ho visto neanche un tholos (casette di pietra) in piedi , tutti tristi cumuli , tranne quelli del museo del paleolitico . percoso semplice e di breve durata , bei parsaggi , c'è anche una deviazione per l'eremo di san bartolomeo , dove è possibile vederlo dall'alto . Consiglio di scaricare l App dei sentieri majella
Ring path of the Gienna valley: unfortunately I have not seen even a tholos (stone houses) standing, all sad heaps, except those of the Paleolithic museum. simple and short-lived route, nice parsaggi, there is also a detour to the hermitage of san bartolomeo, where you can see it from above. I recommend downloading the App of the majella trails

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Distese d'erba incontaminate, freschi boschi, corsi d'acqua e pareti di roccia imponenti. La valle Giumentina oltre ad offrire la possibilità di fare bellissime escursioni e di raggiungere luoghi mistici (vedi i vari eremi di Celestino V) mette a contatto l'uomo con la natura e la ricca fauna presente nel parco. Sicuramente uno dei luoghi più interessanti da visitare.
Stretches of pristine grass, cool forests, waterways and towering rock walls. The Giumentina valley as well as offering the opportunity to make beautiful excursions and reach mystical places (see the various hermitages of Celestine V) puts man into contact with nature and the rich fauna in the park. Definitely one of the most interesting places to visit.

Expanse of landscape between woods and streams little known but of a fascinating beauty with the disarming sound of nature that surrounds you. Too bad we couldn't visit the Paleolithic landscape because it was closed. Reason to come back
