★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Semplice e breve percorso tra Caramanico Terme e il ponte di Caramanico che corre sul fondo della Valle dell’Orfento (Itinerario 2 del Parco). Il sentiero costeggia nel primo tratto il Centro Visite, la Casa del Lupo e l’Area faunistica della Lontra europea.
Il Centro Visite ha all’interno un piccolo museo con una sezione naturalistica dedicata alla geologia e ai fossili della Majella e una sezione archeologica con numerosi reperti rinvenuti in Majella settentrionale. Il Centro Lontra oltre ad avere finalità scientifiche e riproduttive, è dotato di un recinto didattico ove è possibile osservare quattro lontre durante le loro naturali attività.
Le visite guidate vengono effettuate in piccoli gruppi al crepuscolo (centro visite di Caramanico). Il percorso giunge in breve ad una spettacolare balza panoramica e prosegue in discesa su ripidi gradini intagliati nella roccia (prestare attenzione se bagnati) al termine dei quali, in prossimità di una stretta curva, si apre una vasta cavità sotto roccia che un tempo ospitava l’eremo di S. Cataldo. Con comodi tratti a mezza costa si giunge in breve sul fondo della valle e scendendo a sinistra, attraverso una serie di ponticelli di legno, si costeggiano alte pareti di roccia. Dopo una cascata artificiale, il sentiero prosegue costeggiando un antico canale che portava acqua ad un mulino, oggi non più in funzione. Alla fine di questo tratto pianeggiante, il sentiero sale con comodi scalini che conducono sul ponte di Caramanico, dove l’itinerario ha termine.
Simple and short route between Caramanico Terme and the Caramanico bridge that runs along the bottom of the Orfento Valley (Itinerary 2 of the Park). In the first part, the path runs alongside the Visitor Center, the Wolf House and the European Otter Wildlife Area.
The Visitor Center has a small museum inside with a naturalistic section dedicated to the geology and fossils of the Majella and an archaeological section with numerous artifacts found in the northern Majella. The Otter Center in addition to having scientific and reproductive purposes, is equipped with an educational enclosure where it is possible to observe four otters during their natural activities.
Guided tours are carried out in small groups at dusk (Caramanico visitor center). The path soon reaches a spectacular panoramic cliff and continues downhill on steep steps carved into the rock (be careful if wet) at the end of which, near a narrow bend, a vast cavity under the rock opens up which once housed the hermitage of S. Cataldo. With easy stretches halfway up the slope, you will soon reach the bottom of the valley and descend to the left, through a series of wooden bridges, along high rock walls. After an artificial waterfall, the path continues along an ancient canal that carried water to a mill, which is no longer in operation. At the end of this flat section, the path climbs with comfortable steps that lead to the Caramanico bridge, where the itinerary ends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non è il ponte di per sé ad essere interessante ma il sentiero che da qui parte ed attraversa la splendida valle dell'Orfento. Un itinerario che può variare di molto a seconda di quanto volete inoltrarvi.
It is not the bridge itself that is interesting but the path that starts from here and crosses the splendid Orfento valley. An itinerary that can vary greatly depending on how far you want to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In vacanza nella bellissima Abruzzo abbiamo fatto, insieme ad alcuni amici ed una decina di bimbi, il percorso che dal centro visite di Caramanico Terme porta fino al ponte di Caramanico. Percorso di circa un ora lungo il fiume... Percorso o spettacolare con viste mozzafiato sulla natura incontaminata.
On holiday in the beautiful Abruzzo we made, together with some friends and about ten children, the path that leads from the visitor center of Caramanico Terme to the bridge of Caramanico. Path of about an hour along the river ... Path or spectacular with breathtaking views of unspoiled nature.
