P	Paoloyes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto meraviglioso situato nella Valle Giumentina, tra Roccamorice e Abbateggio dai quali partono due sentieri diversi diretti per l’appunto all’Eremo. Il sentiero da entrambe le vie consistite in una discesa all’andata in sentieri non difficili ed adatti a tutti però sono sempre consigliate scarpe da trekking in quanto si può sempre scivolare lungo il tragitto. Consiglio il sentiero di Abbateggio in quanto si parcheggia al cosiddetto “Ecomuseo del paleolitico” che può risultare un ulteriore attrazione. Wonderful place located in the Giumentina Valley, between Roccamorice and Abbateggio from which two different paths lead directly to the Hermitage. The path from both routes consisted of a one-way descent along paths that are not difficult and suitable for everyone, but hiking shoes are always recommended as you can always slip along the way. I recommend the Abbateggio path as you park at the so-called "Paleolithic Ecomuseum" which can be an additional attraction.

La struttura è abbastanza conservata. Permette di vivere un momento di raccoglimento immetsoinel silenzio di una natura ancora incontaminata, lontano dalla tecnigia e dal "rumore" di ogni giorno.

Una tecnica di costruzione già vista in altri luoghi, come Matera o Scicli, quella di incastonare all'interno della parete verticale altre pietre con le quali costruire la quarta parete e realizzare delle case, delle fortezze, dei luoghi di riparo. Dovrebbe essere un luogo di culto, ma in realtà è molto free. Immerso nella natura, un buon posto per passare qualche ora di trekking. Non è così facile raggiungerlo, la strada è molto scoscesa, ma ho visto persone anziane e gente ben vestita riuscire a raggiungere il luogo (bisogna fare tanta attenzione!). Non fatevi ingannare dalla stradina di terra battuta che incontrerete subito dopo la curva, potete assolutamente entrare in quella strada con la macchina, superare il punto di ristoro alla vostra destra e trovare un parcheggio poco più avanti. Seconda ipotesi, scendete in macchina più giù, troverete un parcheggio bianco di pochi posti a bordo strada a circa 1 km da questa biforcazione. Da vedere almeno una volta nella vita...ma non di più. The hermitage of San Bartolomeo in Legio is a particularly suggestive complex, located in the municipality of Roccamorice, is set on a rocky wall, reachable via a path. R	Riccardo Scalet on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'Eremo di San Bartolomeo in Legio è una piccola abitazione scavata nella roccia, raggiungibile con una camminata di difficoltà medio-bassa della durata di circa 30 minuti dalla zona dove è possibile parcheggiare. Ci sono alcuni tratti di rocce sdrucciolevoli per arrivarci, ma nulla di troppo arduo. L'eremo è molto bello e pacifico, costruito su una rientranza della montagna e a picco sul ruscello sottostante. Si visita in circa 10-20 minuti. Non dimenticatevi di scendere le scale e salire sul sassone cubico che troverete in fondo, per poter ammirare l'eremo anche dal basso! The Hermitage of San Bartolomeo in Legio is a small house carved into the rock, reachable with a walk of medium-low difficulty lasting about 30 minutes from the area where it is possible to park. There are a few stretches of slippery rocks to get there, but nothing too difficult. The hermitage is very beautiful and peaceful, built on a recess in the mountain and overlooking the stream below. It can be visited in about 10-20 minutes. Do not forget to go down the stairs and climb the cubic Saxon that you will find at the bottom, to be able to admire the hermitage also from below!
